2012 Outlaw Nitro Series Classes/Rules
For 2012 The Outlaw Nitro Series is going have 3 classes. ONS Open L/M DLMRA
Super L/M Short Course L/M All 3 classes will run for points in their respective regions. The only
difference between the Open and Super L/M is engine type. Super L/M is limited to DLMRA approved 3 port engine.
This class is intended for budget minded racers who choose not to have "big" engines, however, Open
L/M drivers may race in this class as well.
The Outlaw Nitro Series
will allow a different tire not in the DLMRA rulebook. The tire is the OFNA Power Grip that comes
unmounted and requires inserts. OFNA Power Grip # 86052

DLMRA eliminated "OPEN L/M" for 2012. The Outlaw Nitro Series still recognizes the class.
Below are ammendments made by the Outlaw Nitro Series to 2012 DLMRA Super L/M to make ONS "OPEN
L/M."
Section 2: Motors: 2-1 Any .28 or less 2-2 Modding is legal. 2-3 Tracks discretion on engine displacement max.
Section 4: Side Dam specs: 4-1 Running a Side Dam is the tracks choice. side dam max length 16"
Section 6: Wheel & Tire Specs: Outlaw Nitro Series will allow the the use of OFNA 86052 and 86509 along with DLMRA approved
tires.
Section 8: Conduct
Cars that do not meet above DLMRA and/or ONS specs will be allowed to run! MINIMAL points
will be awarded for non complient cars. Neither the ONS nor DLMRA is responsible for racers
not knowing what the rules are, it is the "RACERS" resonsibility. Printed rules will
be available at the track for reference.
Rough/out of control driving will not be tolerated. Racers
that cannot control their bad habits will be asked to take car off the track. There will only be one warning!
Please no profanity
Everyone is expected to marshal. Violators will be docked a lap.
Race Director's decision is final.
